How to fund a PrimePointsPrizeTournament

Short version

1. Get the template id of the template you want to use.
2. Decide on a coin reward for the winner. Must be at least 99 coins.
3. Open a command game: 43035008 (or 43897617). Join the game and go to Chat.
4. Type in: !fundpppt template=template_id rewards=amount(with template_id replaced by your actual template id and amount replaced by the number of coins for the winner)
5. When the tournament is over, transfer the coins to the winner (via a surrender game). By entering the command you promise to actually transfer the coins.

Slightly longer instructions

1. Read or skim the options below.
2. Decide on a template and a reward, and whether to use other options.
3. Open a command game: 43035008 (or 43897617). Join the game and go to Chat. Do not worry, the game will not start when you join.
4. Type in: !fundpppt template=template_id rewards=amount plus your other options (if you picked any)
5. (Optional) Wait up to 15 minutes for the system to notice the new command.
6. (Optional) Check the command log to see if the command was accepted. Maybe you get an error message there, in which case you should try again (with the command changed so you don't repeat the exact same error).
7. (Optional) Check the Tournament list to see that your tournament is listed there. Planned tournaments near the top of the list are more likely to be played soon.
8. Join your tournament when it starts. You will be automatically invited.
9. When the tournament is over, transfer the coins to the winner or winners. It is expected that you keep an eye on your personal finances and that you have enough coins to pay the rewards. I recommend locking up your coins in a coin blocking game (challenge an inactave player like RaffleBot or PrimeOfficialInfo to a coin game. That way you cannot accidentally spend the coins until you delete that coin block game.).

If you change your mind, you can cancel your proposal with the command !suspendevent event_id (any time before your PPPT starts).

Options

The template and the rewards are required. The other options are optional, and default values will be picked instead.

• template=template_id: The template id of the template you want to use. (You can find the template id by creating a game, loading your template, and then looking at the "Link for sharing". The template id is the number at the end of the link.) Note that you can also use real-time templates, it will be converted into a multi-day game automatically. The boot time will be determined by the boot option anyways, and not by the template. Your template should not contain any coin fees or rewards. If you don't have any good ideas for a template, you can pick from this list:

• rewards: The amount of coins you want to give to the winner or other places. This is a list of comma-separated numbers (with no spaces). The first number is the prize for the winner, the second number is the prize for the second place, etc. Prize for the winner must be at least 99 coins. The prizes are meant to be post-tax (for example a 99 coin reward will cost you 110 coins). Tip: prizes divisible by 9 are most tax efficient.
• mode: The tournament mode (including parameter). Possible options:
  • "survival1" (=single elimination), "survival2" (=double elimination), "survival3" (=triple elimination), "survival4" (=quadruple elimination), The number basically determines the number of starting lives. Default is "survival2".
  • "chips1", "chips2", "chips3", "chips4", "chips5", "chips6", "chips7". The number determines the number of starting chips.
  • "streak2" or "streak3". You get eliminated after 2 or 3 losses in a row.
  • "multiko8", "multiko16", "multiko32", "multiko64". Fixed knockout brackets with 8, 16, 32, or 64 entries, but multiple entries per player. multiko64 needs at least 10 players.
  • "fastsurvival2", "fastsurvival3", "fastsurvival4". Like survival mode, but with simultaneous games.
  More information about the modes can be found in the about page. Default is mode=survival2.
• boot: The boot times in hours. This consist of 3 numbers separated by commas (no spaces). The first number is the normal boot (minimum is 16 hours). The second number is the banked time in hours (first and second number must be at least 72 hours in total) The third number is the time bank increment in hours. For a normal 3 day boot use boot=72,0,0. For a 1.5 day boot with 1.5 day bank time and 5 hours increment boot=36,36,5. Default is boot=24,72,0.
• join_period: the number of hours the system will wait for players to accept their game before it will count as declined. Default is the maximum of 48 hours and the boot time (without the banked time).
• size: The number of players in the tournament. Can be from 7 to 16. Default is 12.

If you want to reduce the chance that free wins occur in the tournament, pick mode=survival1 and size=16 or size=8.
